There is so much going on in the world right now that it is difficult to take it all in… so many issues, so many opinions, so much fact and fiction. What we know for sure is that the Jewish people are in the bullseye of hatred – still and always. The main issue that we want to focus on is what has happened since the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel by Hamas. There is no denying the fact that this attack occurred. The fiction that has grown around that attack is what we intend to shine a light on. Let us start with some historical facts.

 Lie #1: The Jewish people are occupying the Palestinians’ land.

FACT: The Jewish people have maintained ties to their historic homeland for more than 3700 years. (1) This includes the time from the destruction of the second temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. until today. By the early 19th century … more than 10,000 Jews lived throughout what is today Israel. (2)

Lie #2: Palestine was always an Arab country.

FACT: In the second century A.D., after crushing the last Jewish revolt, the Romans first applied the name Palaestina to Judea in an attempt to minimize Jewish identification with the Land of Israel. (3) Palestine was never an exclusively Arab country, although Arabic gradually became the language of most (sic) the population after the Muslim invasions of the seventh century. No independent Arab or Palestinian state ever existed in Palestine. When the distinguished Arab-American historian, Princeton University Prof. Philip Hitti, testified against partition before the Anglo-American Committee in 1946, he said: “There is no such thing as ‘Palestine’ in history, absolutely not.” (4) Even further, the Arabs themselves expose this lie: “The representative of the Arab Higher Committee to the United Nations submitted a statement to the General Assembly in May 1947 that said, ‘Palestine was part of the Province of Syria’ and that, ‘politically, the Arabs of Palestine were not independent in the sense of forming a separate political entity.’ (5) Bottom line: After the end of the defensive 1967 war, when Israel defeated the Egyptians, Jordanians, and the Syrians, Israel controlled the lands they captured: Jerusalem, the Sinai Peninsula, the Golan Heights, the Gaza Strip and Judea and Samaria (commonly referred to as the West Bank.) To the victor belong the spoils. (6)  Since that time Israel returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt and left Gaza completely in 2005.

Lie #3: Israeli’s are settlers.

FACT: You can’t be a settler if there has been a connection to the land for 3000 years. There has been an uninterrupted presence of Jewish People in Israel since the time of Joshua. The Jewish people did not ‘steal’ this land. Most recently, they were legal migrants that came under the British Mandate of 1917.

 Lie #4: Hamas is a national resistance movement with the intention of liberating so-called “Palestinians.”

FACT: There is no such thing as “Palestine” in the Hamas movement. It is a religious, ideological movement raging a holy war against a race, a nation. Hamas’ charter calls for the annihilation of the Jewish people. They want a global state.

 

Lie #5: Israel is an apartheid state.

FACT: There have been Israeli Arab members of the Knesset ever since the first Knesset elections in 1949. Over 2 million Arabs live in Israel. Arabic is an official language of Israel. Arabs participate in Israel’s army.

 

This is just a brief list of the lies that have been spread, like a cancer, concerning Israel and the Jewish people for centuries, in fact, millennia. The results of these lies have threatened the very existence of Israel and its people. In previous articles we have discussed examples of Antisemitism in the United States and around the world over the years. Now we are going to discuss what’s been happening since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, murdering over 1200 people. This was the worst attack against the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Yet, the loudest voices around the world are condemning Israel for the deaths they have caused in Gaza. What about condemning Hamas for using their own people as human shields? Instead, this comes from the Hague:  In a conclusive and unambiguous decision, the International Court of Justice declared in a non-binding ruling Friday (July 19, 2024) that Israel’s 56-year long rule in “the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967” is “illegal,” and that it is obligated to bring its presence in that territory to an end “as rapidly as possible.” (7) So, it’s Israel’s fault that this attack occurred because they have been illegally occupying their own land? ABSURD!!

Since October 7th the media has been broadcasting “protests” by people who claim to be Pro-Palestinian and supporting Hamas, a savage group that committed genocide that day. A great deal of these “protests” have occurred on higher education campuses. Why there? Charles Small, the founder of ISGAP (The Institute for Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy) provided the following information, TRUTH based on years of research and investigation, on Jewish Broadcasting Service’s The ISGAP Hour. This is a summary of what he said.

 

Based on insight from Jewish students and faculty, Columbia University is a microcosm of the problem in academia, where there is a war against the Jewish people. Qatar has been funding higher education in the United States (10’s of billions of $$) for the last several decades. Professors are teaching their students that Israel is a white supremacist, colonialist settler society that is occupying the land that needs to be destroyed or dismantled. Qatar is a front for the Muslim Brotherhood, a reactionary form of political Islam, that believes that the true Muslim is obligated to finish the work of Hitler. Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) is connected to the Muslim Brotherhood. On October 9th they said they weren’t just supporting Hamas; they are Hamas. Qatar is funding the propaganda warfare and funding the encampments, which are supported by the professors. It is not safe for students or faculty to attend classes. We’ve put up with their delegitimization for decades and this is the result. He gave this call to action:

The Jewish community must recognize the propaganda for what it is. Our society is tolerating this insanity because it is an ideological warfare that has taken root in our own community.
They must be proud of who they are.
They need to call on the government and universities to stop taking money from entities who call for the murder/liquidation of Jews throughout the world and the state of Israel.
They need to reach out to elected officials.
They should think twice about supporting schools that are allowing this to happen on their campuses.
They need to call upon the universities to provide a safe place for the Jewish people.

This Antisemitic war is not against just the Jewish people. It is also against the USA. We have seen the burning of American flags and the assaulting of our police. Antisemitism is a form of hatred that knows no bounds.

The Middle East has been the center of conflict for several thousand years, with different religions and ethnic groups living there. Those of us who don’t live there can’t possibly understand what it’s like to live there. However, Mosab Hassan Yousef was born there and lived there and thus has a perspective, TRUTH, that can help us better understand the current conflict. Mosab is the son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, a cofounder and leader of Hamas since 1986. Hamas is an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood's Palestinian branch. Mosab was a part of Hamas, participating in the Intifada. He was arrested by Shin Bet, Israel’s security service, and spent years in Israel’s prison facility. He chose to work in counterterrorism with Israel’s intelligence service, becoming a traitor in the eyes of his people. He has converted to Christianity. The following are excerpts from his book, SON OF HAMAS.

“The leaders of Hamas are con men who use the Palestinian cause to become richer and more powerful. They do not care about the Palestinian people. The children of Gaza sit in despair and poverty while the leaders of Hamas and their families enjoy expensive jewelry and luxury hotels in Qatar.”

“Sadly, for too long the leaders of Hamas have had no reason to disavow violence because it seems to be working in their quest for power and dominance. They kill and torture, not just Israelis but their own people, and the world blames it all on Israel.” (8)

Mosab was a guest on the JBS ISGAP Hour with Charles Small, mentioned above. He shared his insights concerning the October 7th attack on Israel, calling it a genocide attack. He also called it an ethnic cleansing because Hamas killed the people based on their ethnicity, religion, nationality, and faith, indiscriminately. Israel had no choice but to retaliate. There is no moral inequivalent of what Hamas did to Israel and what Israel is doing to Hamas.

He also shared the following comments concerning Hamas:

The Muslims make it look like the majority stand with “Palestine.” They know what happened on Oct 7 was a genocide. But, according to their religion, genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Jewish people is actually a virtue, because the Koran praises it.
The vast majority of Palestinians/Gazans support Hamas and want Israel destroyed. The Palestinian Authority has been funding BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) to delegitimize Israel. They incite against Jewish people, portraying Israel as an apartheid state. Anything “Palestine” affiliated is hostile in any way to the existence of the state of Israel.
The two-state solution (Israel and Palestine) can’t work. The solution is a dangerous ideology that aims to destroy Israel, not build a Palestinian state. Palestine is not a nation or ethnic group. It is a political ideology made by the Muslim Brotherhood, the KGB, the Romans, and the British Mandate. Yasser Arafat adapted this ideology, which, like a snowball, kept developing into this strange entity that has in it the Islamist, Communist and other strange ideologies, all aimed at the destruction of Israel. (FYI - Egypt, the birthplace of the Muslim Brotherhood, has outlawed them. Unfortunately, the US Congress has failed to outlaw the Muslim Brotherhood three times.)
If we don’t finish Hamas, Iran, Hezbollah simultaneously it is going to be the birth of a savage empire that will backfire, and the US will eventually pay the price. The tolerant (tolerance of the intolerant) message of Biden and Obama is perceived by the other side as weakness, not as virtue or as a place of power. It will encourage other terror groups to escalate. “Show the might of the US, that this can’t be tolerated."

Mosab’s message to the Jewish people in America:

We are at war, including Mosab.
We have to fight.
Bring the truth forward.
Be fearless even though we are outnumbered.
Shift strategy from defense to offense.

The God of Israel is with the Jewish people. Israel is the miracle of the world.
